On March 18th, Chiba Lotte Marines lost Hanshin Tigers Chiba Lotte Marines an exhibition game held at Zozo Marine Stadium, with a score of 2-6.

Starting pitcher Yuto Kimura got off to a good start in the top of the first inning, retiring the side in order. However, in the top of the third inning, he allowed hit to the Torai Fushimi batter, Fushimi Torai, and then gave up the first run on a timely doble by Nakano Takumu. The next batter, Morishita Shota, hit a two-run homer to left field, giving up three runs in that inning.

In the bottom of the 4th inning, Chiba Lotte Marines, trailing behind, got back-to-back hits from Soto and Polanco. Kyuto Ueda hit a fly ball, and pinch runners Daito Yamamoto and Koki Yamaguchi advanced on tag-ups, creating a scoring opportunity with runners on second and third with one out, and Toshiya Sato hit sacrifice fly.

In the bottom of the 5th inning, Misho Nishikawa 's timely hit narrowed the gap to one run, but the relief pitchers runs in the top of the 6th and 7th innings. The offense also had runner on base but couldn't get the crucial hit. For the defeated Chiba Lotte Marines, pitcher Kimura pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hit, strike out with no walks or Hit by Pitch and 3 runs. Ryusei Ogawa had 2 hit.
