As part of its social contribution project "MARINES LINKS," Chiba Lotte Marines is participating in the "TEAMMATES" program operated by the certified NPO Being ALIVE Japan. Following last year's participation, Haruto Akagi, a child undergoing long-term treatment for a chronic illness, has been added to the team.

On March 15th, a press conference was held at Zozo Marine Stadium to announce Akagi's joining the team, with manager Saburo in attendance. Until the end of the 2026 season, Akagi will participate in activities such as assisting with practice at Zozo Marine Stadium and Lotte Urawa Baseball Stadium about once or twice a month as a member of the team. The TEAMMATES project supports the independence of children who require long-term treatment and helps create a community, and Akagi is the fifth person to join the project.
