Chiba Lotte Marines 's Polanco hit his second home run of the season, a solo shot, in his second consecutive game with a home run.

He started the game as the "number 5 batter and left fielder." In the bottom of the second inning, as the leadoff hitter, he stepped up to the plate and swung at a high fastball from opposing starting pitcher Hiroto Saiki. The ball soared high into the air and landed in the right-field stands packed with Chiba Lotte Marines fans. It was his second home run of the season, following his home run in the previous game, and gave his team the lead.

Last season, due to injuries, he only played in 39 games and hit 5 Home Run. He has maintained good form since the preseason games, aiming for revenge for last season.
