On August 25, in the first round of the farm regular season Chiba Lotte Marines vs. Yokohama DeNA held in Lotte Urawa Baseball Stadium, Chiba Lotte Marines lost 4-6.

In the bottom of the third, Polanco's timely hit put the lineup ahead by one run. Starting pitcher Yuki Karakawa pitcher started without runs through the third inning, but in the top of the fourth, Ikumi Takamizawa hit his second three-run homer to take the lead. In the bottom of the fifth, Polanco's solo home run scored the seventh to bring one run back, but in the top of the sixth, second pitcher Humiya Motomae pitcher gave up Tomoya Inoue 's fifth two-run homer, making it three runs. They extended their lead to 2-6.

Third pitcher Atsuya Hirohata pitcher pitched well, inning 2 and no runs. Then, in the bottom of the eighth, the lineup created a good opportunity with a flurry of hits, and Shinya Matsuishi 's timely hit brought one run back. In the bottom of the ninth, trailing by three runs, Eito Takabe hit hit and Walk to make it two outs bases loaded, and with a bases-loaded Walk, it was 4-6, but the game ended with the next pitcher falling. Polanco marked 3 hit 2 RBI.
