Netflix will exclusively stream all 47 games of the 2026 World Baseball Classic, which begins on March 5th, in Japan. On March 1st, just before the tournament kicks off, the first collaboration video between Pacific League TV and Netflix was released.

This time, former Pacific League League managers and Samurai Japan coaches Hatsuhiko Tsuji and Masato Yoshii, along with Netflix enthusiast Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi, visited the Netflix Japan office to talk about the upcoming WBC.

Samurai Japan's opening game will be against Chinese Taipei on March 6th, and they have independently decided on the best lineup for the opening game. The first infielder Tsuji mentioned was Seibu Lions 's Sosuke Genda. Yoshii immediately agreed, saying, "I have no complaints." Tsuji explained that he wants to first solidify the defense, saying, "Defensive mistakes are the biggest wounds. We have plenty of players who can hit."
