On the 11th, Rakuten Eagles pitcher Shoma Fujihira (27) of Samurai Japan expressed his gratitude to Dodgers pitcher Shohei Ohtani (31) before leaving for Miami, USA, where the team will compete in the quarterfinals and beyond of the 6th World Baseball Classic (WBC).

Fujihira updated his Instagram account and posted a photo of himself with Soya (Orix Buffaloes) and Kitayama (Nippon-Ham) in a locker room at Tokyo Dome, holding something like a box with "Shohei Ohtani" written on it, along with Ohtani's count and the caption "Thank you."

The box bears the mark of Beats, an audio brand for which Ohtani is an official ambassador, and it appears that Ohtani gave the headphones to the team before their trip to Miami. It appears that Ohtani prepared a stylish surprise gift for the team, who are aiming for a second consecutive championship.

Ohtani also gifted headphones to his colleagues when the Dodgers came to Japan for their opening game in March of last year. He provided "Beats Studio Pro" headphones to about 60 people, including 30 players and about 30 staff members, excluding himself, who were traveling to Japan. The total cost was said to be around 3 million yen. The box was a special edition with the words "Welcome to Tokyo!" written in Japanese, and a note signed by Ohtani with the message "Enjoy your trip to Japan with these headphone's! Champion again!" in English was also included.
