It started raining a little after 3 p.m., and the rain intensified just before the match was scheduled to begin. The start time was delayed to see if the weather would improve, but it did not.

When the game was canceled, Muneyama, Nakajima, Muto, Shigenaga, and YG Yasuda went onto ground. They ran the bases in the rain, entertaining the fans who remained at the stadium. Muneyama reflected, "I've always wanted to do this at least once in my professional baseball career. When I was a kid, I used to watch games and was always so excited to see who would come out, so it brought back those feelings."

Tatsumi was in charge of "directing" the base running. "Tatsumi was the director, and we just followed his instructions," he revealed.

The performance took place in front of fans who could only attend on that day. Muneyama explained his intention, saying, "What makes me happiest is for people to come to the stadium and think they had a good time. I hope that even a little bit of that feeling comes to them."
