Orix Buffaloes Machado to join Venezuela's WBC team

Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes pitcher Machado has been selected for the Venezuelan national team for the 2026 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™. He will leave the team on March 1st to join the national team.

Venezuela's first round will be played in Pool D at Lone Depot Park in Miami. If they advance through the qualifying rounds, they could face Japan in the quarterfinals, depending on standings.
