On February 26th at 1:00 PM, the "2026 Miyazaki Spring Baseball Games" will be held at SOKKEN Stadium, featuring a game between Orix Buffaloes and the Saitama Seibu Lions.
Orix Buffaloes won their first game of the Miyazaki Baseball Games (against Chiba Lotte Marines) convincingly. In that game, new foreign player Seymour, who starting line-up at second base and batted first baseman, hit 1-At Bat 3. With Yuma Tongu sidelined due to injury, expectations are high for Seymour. He will be looking to gain experience and get used to Japanese baseball.
Saitama Seibu Lions Lions player Yuta Nakasawa had a stellar performance on the 25th, reaching base in every at-bat. hit Walk walk in his first at-bat, hit singles to right field in his second and third at-bats, and a double to right-center doble in his fourth at-bat, showcasing his skills. Having changed his registered name for this season, he hopes to continue producing results at the plate.
