Second-round draft pitcher, Hakua Iwaki moved into the team dormitory with a mattress in hand.

Seibu Lions 's second-round draft pick, pitcher Hakua Hakua Iwaki, moved into the "Wakashishi Dormitory" in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture on the 7th, bringing with him souvenirs of Toyama's local specialties that he had stuffed himself with so much that he thought he "couldn't eat any more."

The Toyama, Tateyama-cho native, who moved into the dormitory around noon that day, was holding a "masuzushi" in his left hand. When asked how much he ate when he returned home for the New Year holidays, he replied with a greedy look, "I ate. I ate a lot. I can't put it into words in terms of quantity, but I ate so much that I felt like I didn't need any more," and boarded the Shinkansen with the food he had enjoyed so much that he set foot on Saitama soil.

He served as a relief pitcher at Chuo University and is considered a strong candidate for closer next season. Looking ahead to his new year, he is reliever, saying, "I want to quickly communicate with my teammates and first and foremost blend in with them."
