Nippon-Ham 's Imagawa participates in the talk show and waves to the fans

Nippon-Ham of Yuma Imagawa outfielder participated in a talk show in Kita Hiroshima City with Kota Yazawa pitcher on the 18th. He revealed that he will go to the U.S. at the beginning of the year for the second year in a row to study under Richard Schunk, who also teaches the Yankees Judge, again.

Imagawa, who also received instruction in January this year, said enthusiastically, "I want to improve myself further. Richard studies a lot every year, so I'd like to hear some different technical theories. I hope to understand it thoroughly and get one step closer to being a judge."

A year ago, he tried a new batting technique, such as keeping his weight on his pivot foot to prevent his body from leaning forward. "I think that it was thanks to that that I was able to hit home run at the end of the season and continue to hit consistently throughout the farm team. Rather than continuing, I want to do it in order to further improve," he said, realizing the effectiveness of the technique, while also eagerly learning in order to further improve.

He will be staying there for about a week. For Imagawa, whose estimated annual salary is 16 million yen, this is a large expense of over 1 million yen. "I will be investing a lot of time and money in myself again, so I need to make sure I get a return, so I will do my best. I have a child now, so I want to become a regular player, win the championship, and make everyone happy," he said.
