Nippon-Ham 's Imagawa participates in a talk show and waves to fans.

Nippon-Ham Fighters outfielder Yuma Imagawa participated in a talk show held in Kitahiroshima City on the 18th, along with pitcher Kota Yazawa. He revealed that he will be going to the United States for the second consecutive year after the New Year to train again under Richard Schunk, who also coaches Yankees' Aaron Judge.

Imagawa, who also received instruction in January this year, said enthusiastically, "I want to improve myself further. Richard studies a lot every year, so I'd like to hear some different technical theories. I hope to understand it thoroughly and get one step closer to being a judge."

A year ago, he worked on a new batting technique, such as keeping his weight on his pivot foot to prevent his body from lunging forward. "I think that's why I was able to hit home run towards the end of the season and consistently hit well even in the minor leagues. Rather than just continuing it, I want to do it to evolve further," he said, acknowledging the effectiveness of the technique and eagerly seeking further improvement.

He will be staying there for about a week. For Imagawa, whose estimated annual salary is 16 million yen, this is a large expense of over 1 million yen. "I will be investing a lot of time and money in myself again, so I need to make sure I get a return, so I will do my best. I have a child now, so I want to become a regular player, win the championship, and make everyone happy," he said.
