
On the 16th, Softbank Hawks announced that it will open a new "R&D lab" equipped with cutting-edge analytical equipment within Mizuho PayPay during the next season. The lab stands for "Research & Development," meaning a place for research and development. While the farm facility in Chikugo, Fukuoka, is already fully equipped with such equipment, the first-team home base will also be equipped with high-speed cameras and biomechanics analysis systems. GM Mikasa said, "We will combine the analog-style know-how we have cultivated with the latest data analysis. We are ahead of the curve," proud of the further improvements being made to the environment aimed at building a winning team.
It was also announced that the seats in the area behind backstop will be renovated and a new lounge will be built, with completion scheduled for 2029.
