Okajima joined the team as the fourth pick in the 2011 draft from Hakuoh University. Over 14 years as a professional, he played in 1,011 games and contributed to the team's league championship and Japan championship in 2013 as a regular outfielder. He came in as a pinch hitter in his retirement game Seibu on October 4th, hitting a line drive to center field with the support of roaring fans. He plans to enter graduate school at Sendai University in April next year, and will continue to pursue his activities while also pursuing his studies.
