Orix Buffaloes In Yuma Mune player hit a game-tying 3-run homer—his 6th of the season.

Mune started the game as the “No. 8 batter, third baseman.” In the top of the second inning, with his team trailing by one run, Ryo Ota the player, Ryu Sugisawa hit count, set up a prime scoring opportunity with one out and runners on second and third. With two outs, Mune swung at a 2-1 pitch from the opposing starter—Toshiya Nakamura pitcher breaking ball. The ball landed in the right-center field stands, marking the go-ahead home run.

“It was a curveball. I made solid contact, so I was running while thinking, ‘Please go over the fence!’ We’d just fallen behind, so I’m really glad we were able to take the lead!”
