Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters' Chusei Mannami hit his eighth home run of the season, Home Run in two games.

Manami started the game as the "number 5 batter and right fielder." In the bottom of the 4th inning, with his team trailing by 4 runs, he stepped up to the plate as the leadoff hitter for his second at-bat. On the 7th pitch of a full full count, he connected with a fastball thrown down the middle by opposing pitcher Kaima Taira. The ball soared over the center field wall for a home run. This was his 8th home run, putting him two homers ahead of second-place Kensuke Kondo of Fukuoka Softbank and putting him far ahead of Home Run in home runs.
