Chiba Lotte Marines announced that, following last season, they will once again display advertisements for Lotte's chocolate snack "Toppo" on the left and right home run poles at Zozo Marine Stadium.

Toppo is a stick-shaped snack filled with chocolate until the very last bite. An advertisement featuring Toppo's character, "Noppo Toppo-chan," will be displayed on top of home run pole, a location that is well-suited to the snack's shape. The advertisement will use Toppo's signature color, yellow, to ensure high visibility. The banner will be made of mesh material to ensure durability against wind.

If home run is hit in this advertisement, 1,000 Toppo snacks will be presented to the player who hit home run, regardless of whether they are on the home or visiting team. In the 2024 season, two players, Shogo Nakamura of Chiba Lotte Marines and Kosei Osato Orix Buffaloes, recorded home runs that hit the foul pole. Last season, there were no home run that hit the foul pole in either the preseason or the regular season, and there have been no such home runs recorded in the preseason this year either.

▼Soto's comment▼
"If I hit it, I'll get 1,000 Toppo!? That's amazing! Chocolate is my favorite sweet, so it's very appealing. I've never hit home run that directly hit the Toppo pole, so I'd definitely like to aim for it this season and win 1,000 Toppo."
