On August 22, in the 16th round between Fukuoka Softbank and Orix Buffaloes held in MIZUHO PayPay Dome, Fukuoka Softbank win 7-1.

Fukuoka Softbank took the lead in the bottom of the first with Kensuke Kondo 's 25th solo homer. Ryoya Kurihara also hit his 34th solo homer for the second consecutive player. Then, in the bottom of the fifth, Yuki Yanagita hit his 13th three-run homer, bringing the score to 5-0. Ryuta Hirose and Taisei Makihara hit consecutive hits, putting runners on second and third with one out, and scoring runs between infield grounders.

Responding to the lineup's support, starting pitcher Ryosuke Otsu pitcher pitched a hit pitch through five innings. In the top of the sixth, he gave up a timely hit from doble to Yuma Mune leadoff hits, but after the seventh inning, when he carried runner for two consecutive inning, he gave up no more runs. He retired the mound with a strong pitching hit 108 pitches in the eighth inning, 5 , 2 Walk, 6 strike out 1 runs.

In the bottom of the 7th, Fukuoka Softbank scored another run with Yudai Shoji sacrifice fly with no outs bases loaded. In the top of the final ninth, Yusuke Ito pitcher closed out. Starting pitcher pitcher Otsu recorded double-digit win for the first time in his career. Yanagida posted 2-hit 3 RBI, Shoji 2 hit 2 RBI, totaling 12 hit 7 runs, showing a well-balanced pitching and batting match.

Meanwhile, the losing Orix Buffaloes saw starting pitcher Taito Takashima pitcher pitch 10 hit 4 Walk 2 strike out 6 runs 4.1 innings with 10 pitches and 10 in 4.1 innings. The batting lineup saw Keita Nakagawa players hit 2 hit, but only 5 hit 1 run sporadically.
