Chiba Lotte Marines Tsuyoshi Yamazaki recorded his first Home Run since joining the team.

pitcher S tarter Long allowed 4 runs in 3 innings, and reliever Shuta Takano pitcher also gave up two runs s in the bottom of the fourth inning, allowing the Chiba Lotte Marines to extend their lead to 2–6. However, in the top of the fifth inning immediately following, when the leadoff Kyuto Ueda reached base, and the following batter, Yamazaki, drove the first pitch breaking ball. The sharp line drive plunged into the right-field home run terrace.

Yamazaki joined the Chiba Lotte Marines this season as a developmental player. He earned a roster contract in June and has primarily played short stop for the first team so far, posting a .222 batting average (as of before the game) in 25 games. This marks his first Home Run in the first team regular season since 2023, when he was with Tohoku Rakuten Eagles.
