​Fukuoka Softbank Taisei Makihara hit his third three-run homer.

In the bottom of the 1st inning, Fukuoka Softbank took the lead with a timely doble by player Kensuke Kondo. With one out and runners on second and third, Dai Makihara came up to bat, and from count 1-0, he returned a fastball from the opposing starter, Tokito Kawamura pitcher, sending the ball to the right field line. Initially, it was ruled triple, but after replay review, the ball hit just above the line of Home Run, resulting in a follow-up three-run homer.

Dai Makihara was in good form with a .375 monthly batting average for August before the game. Riding that momentum, he hit a home run to support Moinelo pitcher, who was making his season debut.
