​Hiroki Tsuneya Hokkaido Nippon-Ham player marked his first professional hit.

He started as the ninth batter second baseman. In the bottom of the fifth, he entered his second at-bat as leadoff hitter and on the sixth pitch with count 2-2, he returned a slider thrown by opposing starter Ureña pitcher. His sharp hit was the first professional hit to break through the third shortstop space.

Tonetani joined the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham from Hokkai Gakuen University as the first pick in the 2025 developmental draft. In the farm team, he posted a .231 batting average and a Home Run average of 3 in 40 games, and was registered under the main roster on July 30. He made his professional debut on July 31, recording his first hit in his 11th career at-bat in his hometown of Hokkaido.
