◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham held a ceremony before their August 13th game to commemorate the induction of their Chief Baseball Officer, Hideki Kuriyama, into baseball Hall of Fame.

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham To commemorate CBO Hideki Kuriyama’s induction into the “baseball” Hall of Fame, announced at the “2026 baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony” held on Thursday, January 15, a commemorative ceremony will be held before the game against Saitama Seibu Lions on Thursday, August 13.

In addition, to commemorate his induction into the baseball, a statue has been created as a symbol to pass on CBO Kuriyama’s achievements to future generations.The statue will be unveiled for the first time during the ceremony and is scheduled to be installed at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO, B1F Sec. 001 (below “Sora to Shiba by Yona Yona Ale,” near the 50th-anniversary mural).

◇ Fukuoka Softbank fourth-year development Ryota Morishima, will be sent to Hayate Shizuoka.

Fukuoka Softbank announced that they will be sending Ryota Morishima to Hayate Ventures Shizuoka for player development purposes. The period will be from August 7th (Friday) to September 27th (Sunday). Morishima joined Fukuoka Softbank in 2022 as the 14th pick in the developmental draft from Konan High School. In his fourth year this season, he had a batting average of .281 in 14 games in the minor leagues.
