With the score tied at 0-0 in the fourth inning with two outs bases loaded, Seibu Lions he hit a deep three-run home run to right-center field off starting left-hander Sou Sato, giving his team the lead triple.
In the game Seibu Lions the previous day, on the 4th, he hit his first home Home Run in four years, and RBI second consecutive game with an RBI. He commented, "It was a chance that everyone had created, so I'm glad I was able to bring runner home."
