On July 23, in the farm regular season vs. Fukuoka Softbank vs. Chunichi fifth round held at Tamahome Stadium Chikugo, Fukuoka Softbank won a close 3-2 match.

Fukuoka Softbank starter Moinelo pitcher gave up a timely hit from Kosuke Ukai with two outs and a runner on second in the first inning, giving up the first run. From the second inning onward, he closer the runs with a crucial pitch to close the gap, and in the third inning, he threw 59 pitches, 4 hit, no walks, Hit by Pitch 5 strike out 1 runs and was taken out of the mound.

In the top of the 4th, Yusuke Ito pitcher closer, and in the bottom of the inning, Hotaka Yamakawa hit his 7th solo homer, tying the game. In the bottom of the 5th, with Koha Gyofu​ ​Kyogo Yamashita hit and other hits, the opposing team pitcher pitched wildly to take the lead.

​Chun-Wei Chang pitcher came in from the top of the 5th and retired all three batters in a row for three consecutive closer inning. In the top of the 8th, with two outs and a runner on second, he gave up a timely doble to tie the game, but in the bottom of the 8th, he scored a base Walk to take the lead, and in the top of the 9th, Jang pitcher closer the game ended 3-2.

Even with six hit in the lineup, they created a good opportunity with Walk and scored. With strong relief from Zhang pitcher pitching 5 innings, 3 hit no walks, Hit by Pitch 3 strike out 1 runs, the team won a close game. Yamakawa also recorded 2 hit 1 RBI, including a solo homer for the 7th.
