Fukuoka Softbank Ryoya Kurihara player hit his 26th solo homer.
He started as the cleanup hitter third baseman. In the top of the fourth, trailing by two runs, he took the leadoff second at-bat and perfectly repelled the first pitch thrown by opposing starter Takayuki Kato pitcher, a low shot. The ball soared high and became his 26th solo homer that flew into the right field stands.
In his first at-bat, Kurihara marked the hit that led to his run. With this, he leads the rankings by six home runs behind second-place Reyes and Kensuke Kondo in Home Run.
