Nippon-Ham outfielder Chusei Mannami won the MVP award for his outstanding performance, which included the game-winning hit and four hit with two RBI.

He started starting line-up as the leadoff hitter and right fielder. In the first inning, he hit a single to center hit, and in the fifth inning, with no outs and a runner on second, he hit a timely single to right field, giving his team the lead.
