Orix Buffaloes pitcher have collapsed to a season-worst 16 runs by the fourth inning.

In the first inning, immediately after taking a one-run lead, starting pitcher Katayama failed to record an out, throwing 13 balls and 4 runs by KO. In the second inning, second pitcher Hiroshi gave up consecutive home runs to Kondo and Kurihara, giving up three runs.

In the third inning, the third pitcher, Yamaoka, gave up timely hits to Kurihara and Yanagida, resulting in two runs against him. In the fourth inning, Saito took mound for the first time in 710 days, since the game against Lotte on August 11, 2024 (at ZOZO Marine Stadium).

However, he gave up timely hits from Nomura, Kawase, Kondo, Kurihara, Yanagimachi, and Yu Yamamoto, giving up 8 hit 7 runs in a third inning. Fifth pitcher Saiki cut off the chase, but Saito's ERA was 189.00. By the fourth inning, the entire pitcher had given up 20 hit, making for a tough game.
