Thanks in part to a strong performance from Kensuke Kondo, Softbank Hawks secured a decisive victory. This means they have now won four out of the five series since the interleague games ended, maintaining their lead in the standings.

In the first inning, with no outs and runners on first and second base, Kondo hit a three-run homer to give his team the lead and control of the game. In the third inning, with one out and runners on second and third base, starting pitcher Haru Matsumoto gave up a two-doble to Fujiwara to right-center field, but he pitched tenaciously after that and held onto the one-run lead.

Then, in the fifth inning with one out and runners on second and third base, Kondo hit his second home run of the day, a three-run shot, extending the lead to four runs. In the eighth inning, Kurihara hit his 24th solo home run of the season.

From the 7th inning onwards, Osuna and Matsumoto Yu took over in the winning pattern, and Suzuki Go closed it out.

Haru Matsumoto earned his fifth win. Kondo recorded his third multi-Home Run of the season.
