Lotte secured a come-from-behind win in their first game since the league season resumed, putting them one win above .500 for the first time since April 3rd.

This was the first game under Manager Yoshii (Rakuten Eagles), who had served as the Lotte manager until last season. Aito dashed his hopes right from the start.With the score tied 4–4 in the sixth inning with two outs bases loaded, he launched his first grand slam into the left-field stands. His first-ever bases loaded home run was his first in three years, since 2023 when he played for Seibu Lions. The home run instantly shifted the momentum in his team’s favor.

Yagi pitched in the second pitching position from the 5th inning and runs 2 inning without , marking his sixth win. Kojima will start the second match of the series on the 20th.
