Manager Saburo Lotte (50) spoke after the game about the condition of Naonori Yasuda infielder (27), who was hit near his right wrist in the fifth inning Hit by Pitch and was replaced by defense in the sixth inning.
"I'm fine. There's no damage to my bones or anything," he said, fortunately indicating that his injuries were minor. "That hit by pitch was significant," he added, praising Yasuda's performance in setting up Yamaguchi's game-winning two-run hit.
