Lotte Marines pitcher Haruya Tanaka spoke on the 5th about his determination for the game against The Giants on the 6th (at Tokyo Dome), where he will be aiming for his second win of the season. The right-hander, who made his final adjustments at the opposing team's stadium, said, "They have hitters who can hit home runs, and players who are good at stolen base bases and are fast, so I want to make sure I have a clear understanding of the data and be prepared when I go into the game."

In his previous start against Hanshin Tigers Stadium), he was lose pitcher despite runs only one run in six innings. Reflecting on his early pitch count, he spent the week working on that. "I practiced my fastball so that I can challenge the batters in the strike zone at the end of the game, and I also practiced breaking ball and my finishing pitches, so I've made sure to correct those things," he said, indicating that he had prepared thoroughly.

Looking ahead to his first win in about two months, he outlined his plan to defeat the Giants, saying, "I think the most important thing is to pitch in a way that helps the team win, and within that, I want to make sure I put into practice what I've been working on this past week, and pitch in a way that keeps the tempo good from the first inning and brings a good flow to the offense."
