Fukuoka Softbank 's Yudai Shoji delivered a performance that lived up to starting line-up as a starter.

Despite being far behind early in the game, he drew a walk in his first at-bat with one out and Walk on second base to create a scoring opportunity. In his second at-bat, he skillfully picked up breaking ball from pitcher Kosei Takahashi, who had been pitching well, and hit a single to left field. Then, in his third at-bat, with one out and runners on first and second base, he hit a jammed ball to bases loaded field, loading the bases.
 
In the previous day's game, Shoji turned what looked like single hit into doble with a great base running, leading to a comeback victory. He has been in the starting lineup as the ninth starting line-up in the last two games, but he has been playing a key role in connecting to the top of the batting order, making his presence felt day after day.
