◇◇◇

I would like to introduce Ms. Mariko Ozaki, a member of Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters official cheer team "The Fighters Girl".

Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan on December 15, her nickname is "Mari-chan, Mariko-sama". Her hobbies are visiting cafes and watching Patere videos.

Influenced by her family, Ms. Ozaki has been going to baseball games since she was a child and found herself becoming a The Fighters fan. In elementary school, she was involved in rhythmic gymnastics for five years and loved to dance, so it was a natural progression for her to develop an admiration for The Fighters girls, she says.

This season marks her second year as a member of the group, having made it to the group on her third try. Last season was such a fulfilling year for me," she says, "I was so happy and had so much fun being a The Fighters girl for a year that the only option I could think of was to continue. With the disappointment of missing out on the championship by one more step, we will send a cheer to The Fighters with a strong performance to share the joy of winning the league championship in 2026 and becoming the number one team in Japan with our fans.

[The Fighters Girls]
In 2004, the The Fighters Girls cheerleading team was formed along with the team's relocation to Hokkaido. Beyond energizing the stadium with their performances and cheering on the team, they are active both inside and outside the stadium, serving as stadium tour guides, promoting the team in various media, and working as dance academy instructors. They also actively participate in visits to kindergartens and daycare centers throughout Hokkaido and appear at events, playing a crucial role as a "bridge" connecting The Fighters with fans and the local community. This season, wearing their newly redesigned costumes—the first refresh in four years—the team consists of 27 members, including 14 new members and 13 returning members, who will passionately support The Fighters in their quest win.
