Softbank Hawks 's offense came together to come back from a three-run deficit and win the game. They won the opening series against The Giants, putting them on the way to their 10th interleague championship. In the bottom of the 6th inning with one out and doble on first, trailing by one run, Kenta Imamiya hit a game-tying double to left-center field. Yudai Shoji followed with a go-ahead single to center field.

In the bottom of the defense, with two outs and a runner on second base, Tima hit a ball to right-center field, but center fielder Ukyo Shuto made a spectacular catch with his speed, saving the team from a tie game.

In the bottom of the 7th inning with two outs, Ryoya Kurihara hit his 15th home run of the season, his second of the game. With two outs and a runner on first, Yudai Yamamoto hit his second home run of the season, a two-run shot, to extend the lead.

Stewart earned his third win of the season, giving up four runs in five innings.
