◆ Pacific League Seibu Lions 1-5 Orix Buffaloes (22nd, Belluna Dome)

Orix Buffaloes manager Mamoru Kishida achieved his 100th career win (84 losses, 3 ties) in his 187th game. Ota, who had been entrusted with the cleanup hitter position for a team-high 29 games, was removed from the active roster. The team overcame the emergency situation caused by the absence of their key player through baseball. Mori Tomo hit a go-ahead RBI single in the first inning. Mune, who took Ota's place as cleanup hitter for the first time in his 12-year professional career, also made his presence felt with two hit. In the 9th inning, Kita's two-run single to center field and Mori's two-run doble added four more runs.

Starting pitcher Jerry earned his second win of the season with six scoreless runs. "Overall, I was in good form. I was able to control my two two seam fastball well, and I think I was able to pitch in a way that lived up to Mori's lead. I'm also grateful for the help I received from defense behind me," he said, bowing his head. Teranishi, Mukunoki, and Iriyama closed out the game from the seventh inning onwards. With this third consecutive win, they are 1.5 games ahead of second-place Seibu Lions and are once again solidifying their lead.
