Lotte pitcher Yuji Nishino (35) started the game and threw 75 pitches over 6 innings, giving up 3 hit and 2 runs, but he was unlucky with the offense and suffered his second loss. He was unable to secure his first win since September 28, 2024, against Seibu Lions (at Belluna Dome).

In the second inning, after Moritomo's double to right field put doble on second and third with one out, Noguchi hit a two-run single to right field, giving the opposing team the lead. He managed to keep the score at zero from the third inning onward, making pitch in the second inning particularly regrettable.

After the game, he looked ahead to his next start, saying, "I haven't won in a while, so I've been thinking a lot about how I can pitch to get a win. I think I won't be able to win easily unless closer runs I give up. I have a feeling that if I can get the whole picture right, I'll be able to do even better, so I want to spend another week adjusting my game to achieve that."
