At CAR3219 Field, the first game between the Saitama Seibu Lions and Hokkaido Nippon-Ham will be held starting at 1:00 PM.

Saitama Seibu Lions 's fourth-year player, Ryosuke Korezawa has been performing well in the minor leagues, appearing in 6 games and recording 5 hit 15 At Bat bats for a batting average of .333, showing improvement in his previously weak hitting. In the minor leagues, veteran Ginjiro Sumitani and fellow development player Kaito Noda are also behind the plate, and with the arrival of first-round draft pick Taiga Kojima, competition for a starting position is intensifying both in the first and second teams. He will continue to impress and hope to earn a spot on the main roster.
On the other side, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Daigo Kamikawahata is a player to watch. He failed to produce results in the preseason games this season and missed out on a spot on the opening day roster. He also played in three games for the minor league team, but his hitting has stalled, with only one hit in 11 At Bat. Can he find a way to regain his form?

The first game between Orix Buffaloes and Yokohama DeNA will be held at Sugimotoshoji Buffaloes Stadium Maishima starting at 13:00.
Orix Buffaloes has several experienced pitcher, including Hiroshi, Nobuyoshi Yamada pitcher and pitcher Shota Abe, pitching in their minor league system. Hiroshi, pitcher particular, started against Hanshin Tigers on the 18th but gave up 8 runs in 2 innings, though pitcher has pitched in relief in the last two games. Each of them is hoping to regain their pitch and earn a promotion to the first team.
