Seibu Lions will hold the "PR1DE SERIES" project, which will take fans through Takumi Kuriyama 's final season, at the Lotte game (Belluna Dome) on April 11th and 12th. On both days, a special exhibition of valuable jersey from the past will be held, and the club has announced that it will distribute a "Weekly Baseball Takumi Kuriyama Special Issue," which includes interviews from his early days with the team.
The special exhibition "PR1DE SERIES Episode 1," which traces Kuriyama's career, will display 25 years' worth of uniforms that he has owned, including the uniform with number 52 that he wore for the first six years after joining the team.
Additionally, the first 15,000 people to arrive on both days will receive a copy of the "Weekly Baseball Takumi Kuriyama Special Edition," which includes a rare first interview conducted shortly after he turned pro, looking back on Kuriyama's younger days.
In addition, a special project called "Memory: Memorable Scenes" has been launched, in which people can vote for their favorite scene from the many famous scenes posted on the special website. The top six scenes that receive the most votes will be used as decorations inside Seibu Lions Station from June 26th to 28th, and merchandise will also be sold.
Kuriyama commented through the team, "My final season is finally about to begin. Starting in April, the 'PR1 DE SERIES' will feature an exhibition of the uniforms I've worn throughout my career, a special issue of Weekly Baseball compiling interviews from shortly after I turned pro, and other projects that will allow us to look back on my 25-year career together. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of memorable moments fans will choose. Let's create some wonderful memories together at Belluna Dome."
