Hotaka Yamakawa praises his trainer, Nakazawa Tsunetaka

Softbank Hawks infielder Hotaka Yamakawa, currently participating in the Miyazaki training camp, praised the training attitude of development infielder, with whom he has been training independently since the end of last season, on the 17th. "Training with Nakazawa (during independent training) was quite significant for me. We also trained with Akihiro and others, and those members were mostly players who had performed well in the first team. It had been a while since I'd seen development players, and I could sense their determination to rise up and various other things. I think there's still room for improvement in terms of technique and physicality, but I was able to feel their ambition and other things again by playing and training with them. It was very inspiring and I learned a lot," he said, mentioning the 20-year-old from Hachinohe Gakuin Kosei High School.

The Yamakawa group's voluntary training is known for its intense practice that can bring participating players to tears. "I was moved when I saw Nakazawa. He did that (intense voluntary training) for three months. I was moved when he caught the last ball. I'm sure that when he becomes a star in the future, he will remember this training," he said, expressing his hope that his pupil would produce results.
