Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes pitcher Andrés Machado has joined the team's training camp. He arrived in Miyazaki on the 9th and spent the day practicing light exercises such as catch. The closer, who recorded 28 saves in 2013, third in the league, smiled and said, "I'm really happy to be back safely. It was good to be able to talk with my teammates after such a long time."

He will be on the Venezuelan national team roster for the World Baseball Classic in March. He is currently preparing to play. Machado himself was cautious, saying, "I'm really happy, but there are still various issues, such as insurance, that need to be cleared up. I can't talk about the details."
