Lotte pitcher Haruya Tanaka (21) entered bullpen for the first time at the Miyakonojo training camp in Miyazaki on the 2nd. With catcher seated, he threw 41 pitches, including fastballs and fork.

The fourth-year right-hander, who put his name forward as starter for the season's opening game Seibu Lions on March 27th (ZOZO) during his voluntary training, wiped away large beads of sweat and said, "I think the best thing was that I was able to finish pitching safely. I would like to show a little more speed and power. It wasn't bad for my first batter's pitch, but it was also bullpen that showed I have a lot more room for improvement, so I would like to put that to good use next time."
