Nippon-Ham's general fielder coach Tsuyoshi Nishioka (42) instilled his philosophy and concluded the first stage of the autumn camp.

At the end of the batting practice during the autumn camp held at Es Con on the 3rd, Coach Nishioka served as the pitcher for a batting showdown between Kotaro Kiyomiya and Manami. In a 3-inning battle with a 2-strike setting, Manami hit 4 Home Runs and secured a 9-2 win. The defeated Kiyomiya took the microphone and said, 'I let my junior take the glory. I let him win.' After saying that, he continued, 'That is a lie. It was a complete defeat,' and called out to the 5,800 spectators, 'There is one more session left, so everyone, please come to see us playing baseball and having fun,' receiving a round of applause.

The showdowns began on the 2nd at the suggestion of Coach Nishioka, who took office on October 31st. During his time with Lotte last year, where he served as the first-team chief batting and base running coach, he made it a tradition, saying, 'Ending with a game is something we have always done at camp.' He explained the intention, stating, 'It allows us to concentrate one last time and perform seriously since there is an audience.' Kotaro Kiyomiya smiled at the stylish project, which provided stimulation while also delighting the gathered crowd, saying, 'I was no good at all, but it was fun, so it was great.'

During practice, Coach Nishioka used gestures to instruct the fielders on base running. During Kotaro Kiyomiya's batting practice, he provided enthusiastic guidance, instructing him to turn his pivot foot inward, noting that 'the center of gravity shifts too much from the take-back to the swing, which prevents the contact rate from improving.' The presence of the new coach, whom Manager Shinjo invited with absolute trust, is revitalizing Nippon-Ham.
