◇ Chiba Lotte Marines vs Tohoku Rakuten Eagles 25th Round (4th, Zozo Marine Stadium)

Koki Yamaguchi of Chiba Lotte Marines hit a go-ahead two-run homer, his 36th home run of the season, setting a new club record for Home Run since moving to Chiba.

In the bottom of the fourth, with the team trailing by one run, Yamaguchi stepped up to the plate with no outs and a runner on first. He swung through the breaking ball pitched by the opposing starter Takahisa Hayakawa pitcher, and the ball reached the left field stands.

The day before, Yamaguchi had hit a walk-off home run that added glory to Yuki Karakawa pitcher 's retirement game, tying the team's most Home Run since the move to Chiba, previously set by Benny in 2004. He broke the record with home runs in two consecutive games.

◇ Comment from Player Yamaguchi
"The one who hit was cutter. I hit well. Chiba Lotte Marines was able to reach the top (Home Run number)!" I'll keep updating more. I'll do my best!"
