2026 PERSOL Climax Series Pacific League First Stage Game 3: Seibu Lions vs. Nippon-Ham (12th, Belluna Dome)

The Seibu Lions' deficit has widened.

The game saw its first action in the second inning with both teams scoreless. After the starting pitcher Takeuchi faced a crisis with runners on first and second with one out, he gave up a timely RBI single to left field to Nomura. This resulted in conceding a painful opening run. The left-hander, who has 11 wins this season, expressed his frustration.

Then came the fourth inning. With one out, he gave up a solo home run to Mannami into the left-field seats. It was a painful blow to concede.

The series is currently tied at one win and one loss. The Seibu Lions are facing a crucial game where a win or a draw will see them through the first stage of the Climax Series, while a loss will result in their elimination.
