2026 PERSOL Climax Series Pacific League First Stage Game 1: Seibu Lions 3X-2 Nippon-Ham (10th inning, extra inning) - October 10, Belluna Dome

The Seibu Lions secured a walk-off victory against Nippon-Ham, putting them one win away from advancing past the first stage of the Climax Series (CS).

Neither side gave an inch, and the game entered an extra inning while still tied. In the bottom of the 10th extra inning with one out, outfielder Alexander Canario hit a walk-off home run into the left-field stands to decide the game.

The team's losing streak in the Climax Series also stopped at nine. Manager Nishiguchi, who said he had intentionally 'tried not to think about it' before the game, broke into a smile after the match, saying, 'I'm happy about that. When it was mentioned yesterday, the manager looked it up right away, and it really was happening (laughs).'
