◆ Pacific League: Lotte 3-2 Rakuten Eagles (4th, ZOZO Marine)

Lotte came from behind to beat the Rakuten Eagles, marking their second consecutive victory.

Yamaguchi took center stage. First, in the fourth inning with no outs and a runner on first while trailing by one run, he connected with an inside low cutter thrown by Hayakawa. The ball flew into the left-field stands. With his 36th two-run Home Run, he turned the game around. The club record for Home Runs since moving to Chiba was previously held by Benny, who hit 35 in 2004, but he has now surpassed that mark.

Furthermore, in the sixth inning with a one-run lead, he stepped up as the leadoff hitter and launched a certain 37th solo home run into the left-field seats. With a spectacular display of back-to-back home runs in two consecutive plate appearances, he sent the home stadium into a festive frenzy.

On the mound, the starter Ojima pitched a strong game, earning his sixth win after allowing 1 runs on 6 hit over seven innings. In the final inning, Yokoyama pitched as the closer to record his 35th save, tying for the league lead.
