Today, Monday, January 19th, we will introduce the first professional records of Rakuten Eagles from Chiba Lotte Marines, Saitama Seibu Lions, and Tohoku Rakuten.
Chiba Lotte Marines
Chiba Lotte Marines 's first draft pick, Misho Nishikawa, recorded his first hit and first RBI in the opening game. He continued to perform well throughout the season, hitting his first Home Run on July 30th and stealing his first stolen base on September 16th, and was named Pacific League Rookie of the Year for the 2025 season.
Second-place player Ryusei Miyazaki recorded his first hit and first RBI in July and his first stolen base in August. pitcher Rikima Ichijo (third), Ryo Sakai pitcher fourth), and Koshiro Hiroike pitcher fifth) all made their first-team debuts. pitcher pitched in 18 games pitcher earning his first hold in August and his first win in September.
Saitama Seibu
For Saitama Seibu Lions, second-round draft pick Seiya Watanabe recorded two hit, including his first hit, in the opening game. He maintained a batting average above 40% until April and was selected to the All-Star team. He hit his first professional Home Run on May 14th, bringing his total to 12 Home Run. Despite being a rookie, he led the batting lineup.
Taiyo Sato, the second-ranked development player who was registered as a controlled player in July, had his first professional hit on August 5th. Furthermore, towards the end of the season, high school graduate rookies Hiroto Saito, the first-ranked player, and Hibiki Shinohara, the fifth-ranked pitcher, also made their first-team debuts.
Tohoku Rakuten
Tohoku Rakuten Eagles 's first draft pick, Rui Muneyama, completed the year without any major setbacks. He hit a timely hit in the opening game, his first professional hit, stolen base his first professional base on April 4th, and hit his first professional Home Run on the 16th. He also played in the All-Star Game and became the first rookie to be named to the Best Nine in 26 years, making for a fulfilling year.
