Rakuten Eagles ambassadors Ginji and Takero Okajima visited Tohoku University Hospital in Sendai on the 22nd. They donated original The Eagles made by the Eagles home run Charity supported by SMBC Rakuten Eagles Securities to the hospital. The 27 wheelchairs, the same number as the number of Home Run runs the team hit at their home stadium last season, were sent to facilities across Tohoku.

The two interacted with children in the pediatric ward. Okajima, who retired from active duty last year and was visiting for the first time as an ambassador, smiled and said, "We were also energized."

The wheelchairs are originals with the team logo designed on the wheels. The charity, which began in 2011, has donated 30, 22, and 27 wheelchairs since its first year. Rakuten Eagles Mobile's outfield wall has been moved forward this season. Ginji expressed his hopes for his juniors to hit more home runs, saying, "I think there will be more home run than last year. It's tough pitcher, but I want to inspire more children with home run."
