Nippon-Ham Fighters manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo (53) revealed that he raised the issue of balls that "don't fly" at a meeting of the 12 teams' managers held in Tokyo on the 20th.

"My point was, isn't the ball not flying quite as far? I'd like it to fly a little further. The balls we used when we were active flew incredibly far."

In recent years, professional baseball has seen a trend of "high pitching, low batting." "Both the number of home run and batting averages. I think the number of batters hitting over .300 will probably increase, and we've had three or four years of good pitcher. If the batters improve next, I think it will be more enjoyable for the fans watching," he said, expressing his opinion.

Managers from other teams responded by saying, "If pitcher is too good, it's not fun, and if the batter hits too many home run, the game doesn't end, so they said that's the difficult part."
