Rakuten Eagles infielder Rui Muneyama (22) opened up about his voluntary training in Kagoshima Prefecture on the 18th. He conducted training in the morning. "I have a one-month period, but it's difficult to achieve results in a month, so I'm planning to reassess what I'll be doing for the year starting from January, and I'm working on various things, feeling growth and change every day," he said.

In his first season last year, he played in 122 games, including being in the starting starting line-up on the opening day. He reached the required number of at-bats, batting .260 with 27 RBI and three Home Run. He became the first Pacific League rookie in 44 years to be named to the Best short stop list.

He conducts his training alone. "Practicing alone is something that is difficult to find once the season begins, so I wanted to make the most of it. This year isn't everything, and I also want to make sure I'm in shape for next year and beyond, so I think it's okay to do this time alone," he said, spending his time with a sense of purpose. He will continue to hone himself in order to make further progress.
