Lotte's Kyuto Ueda who is currently undergoing voluntary training in Onna Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture, released a statement through the team on the 15th.

Ueda said enthusiastically, "My goal is to create my own core or axis to fight through the season. I think things have gone really well so far. My goal is to take the third position and win the title."

In his second year as a pro last season, Ueda played in 66 games, hitting .211 with 3 Home Run, 20 RBI, and a .333 batting average in scoring position, demonstrating his strong hitting. This season, he is aiming to become a regular third baseman.
